I am Marissa Joy Daly of Marissa Joy Photography. I was raised in North Carolina, went to college in Boston, spent 2 years in DC, and now have lived in Los Angeles for the last 9 years. I incorporate art and documentary moments into all my work. From stunning destinations weddings in Switzerland and Madrid, to an intimate backyard wedding in Maryland or a glam Hollywood event, I adore being able to make each occasion as special as the next.

My goal is to put you at ease, give you lasting memories and timeless art that will span generations, and make stellar shots that will make anybody who views them stop dead in their tracks.

To maintain quality work and excellent client relationships, I only book up up to 10 weddings a year (both local and international) with packages starting at $8000.

Fun Facts!

I don't like fruit...I know, it's weird.

My husband and I have a 4 year old boy and 2 year old girl who we can't get enough of. Hearing those racing, little footsteps from another room is the best sound in the world.

Zoe is our rescue German Shepherd mix. I am very passionate about animal welfare and I spend a dedicated amount of time photographing shelter animals and helping place them in forever homes.

In college, I was featured in National Geographic for a photojournalism piece focusing on Americans in the rural Blue Ridge Mountains

I'm a sucker for Vanilla Lattes and Champagne

I studied abroad in Florence, Italy while attending Boston College

Marissa is the true definition of an artist and professional. From the moment we met her for our engagement photos (which she accommodated doing despite it being a holiday weekend) , we knew that she was going to be our wedding day photographer. Marissa made us feel calm and comfortable in front of her lens. We were so happy with our engagement pics that we invited Marissa to be our photographer for our destination wedding in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic!! When she arrived to the Dominican Republic, Marissa joined us during our pre-wedding party and was generous enough to take pics of this event, despite it not being part of her contract. Marissa is truly amazing at what she does. Not only does she take the most stunning photographs, she makes you feel comfortable in front of and around the camera and really brings out the best in people. We used Marissa for our engagement and wedding photos.
