HOW SHOULD WE PLAN OUR TIMELINE?
We believe that in order to tell a full story, you have to start from the beginning. Therefore, we encourage our couples to allow us to begin our coverage at least two hours before the ceremony. This way, we have time to document all the details (shoes, invitations, dress, rings, etc) and time with both the Bride and Groom getting ready. These are some of our favorite shots from the whole day! We are happy to walk you through your schedule to help facilitate your day-of planning.
WHAT ARE YOUR FEELINGS ABOUT A FIRST LOOK?
We like first looks for the reason that your makeup and hair is fresh, the excitement is high, and we can even knock out some family and bridal formals. It's a great idea if your ceremony starts late (we love to shoot your romance session about an hour before sunset to get that warm glow!). If you are more of a traditionalist, feel free to skip the First Look and we will get all those shots after the ceremony!
WHAT IS A ROMANCE SESSION?
These sessions are extremely special to us and our couples. We take about 30 minutes (often after the ceremony and family formals) to photograph you as a new, married couple. It is extremely relaxed and really captures your love for each other. We scout out the perfect place and time beforehand (ideally around 1-2 hours before sunset). This is also a great break for you two between your ceremony and all the happy guests that are anxious to greet you at your reception!
WHAT HAPPENS IF WE DON'T HAVE THE TIME FOR A ROMANCE SESSION?
No problem! If you can dedicate some time the next day, we love shooting Day-After Sessions. We will find a beautiful location, you will throw your dress and tux back on, and take you for 1-2 hours before sunset. This is when we get some of our best work!
DO WE NEED TO SEND YOU A SHOT LIST?
Nope! When we initially chat, I will send you a full gallery of a recent wedding so you can see how we document the entire day - from start to end. We pride ourselves on taking equal attention to each part of your day so nothing gets left out! We will also have many chats about your wedding, and you will fill out some worksheets for us that will have a mini shot list on it.

WHAT ABOUT YOUR EDITING?
We are extremely intentional about how we shoot and edit our photographs. Although we have a specific style that is consistent in our work, our goal is to genuinely document you as a couple, representing your unique personalities. We spend a lot of time getting to know you through frequent coffee and phone dates, questionnaires, and, most importantly, your Engagement and Bridal Sessions. All photographs are boutique edited - meaning that while other photographers will run certain actions through a bundle of photographs or outsource their editing, Marissa specifically hand edits each individual photograph so that it best reflects the emotion, energy, and ambiance of the day.
WHERE ARE YOU BASED AND WILL YOU TRAVEL?
My husband and I divide our time between Los Angeles and Greensboro, bouncing back and forth racking up some pretty awesome frequent flyer miles. Our team LOVES to travel and most of our weddings are destinations. Our work has taken us to London,
